Question: How do I fix this problem, read please..

  When I start that program to add glows and atributes to the models, called ModelAttributeEditor, I get the an error saying something about d3d8.dll

How do I fix this. The program just shuts off... Even worse, it doesn't even start.

Please help me out because I want to add models to SFC3, but as long as I get this error I cant fix it...

 Problem solved.

 I installed Direct-X 9.0 and reinstalled a couple of .dll files downloaded from Micro$haft (Microsoft) and it worked... Expect the Kodiak-class Battleship soon. (TNG-like ship with a lot of forward firepower, but with little rear protection).

Good for Star Base Assaults and head-on attacks on Borg Cubes. However, be adviced to take an escort with you to get those smaller ships from your tail...
