To tell you the truth.. all SFC games will only complie correctly using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 with service pack 5.. anything else will not work and will cause SFC games to crash.. this is for all SFC titles.. Other compilers for some reason or another can not match the way M V C++6.0 SP 5 compiles which causes SFC titles to error out...
hope that this helps.

Note: SP4 worked for me while it was the standard, way back when.. but now-a-days SP5 is the latest and should be used.
Microsoft C++ 6.0 is relegated to ebay now that .net is out. It's probably still available at college book stores if you, or someone you know, is a student. SP5 is available as a DL from Microsoft.

Has anyone recently compiled with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 with service pack 6? It appears that Service Pack 5 is NLA at Microsoft.
