Dig around on the router sttings for a bit and see if you can find something like the "Block WAN Request" setting from the filters page on my linksys. You really should accept pings from the WAN for things to work well. (hopefully its not phrased as a confusing double negative as on mine...)

I punched every punchable button and I still couldn't find WAN anywhere!!! I'll keep nosing around, I'm sure his bound to show up.

But I think my greastest concern, at the moment, is to figure out a way to get the most firewalls on my pc. :D

You should also make sure that "Block ICMP ping" is unchecked.

It's really the same thing as what bonk said, just worded differently.

recheck your ipconfig /all

Make sure that your static lan IP is outside the range of the DHCP IP address pool of the router, or disable the DHCP server on your router and make sure all clients on the lan are configured statically (once you can see the router again..)

Try rebooting the router (unplug it, wait a minute - plug it back in again)

ensure you can ping 192.168.1.1...

Forgot to mention to disable UPnP services on the password tab (once you can see the router again of course... any luck there yet?)

I finally was able to reboot my computer and router this morning.

The router is showing now.

I believe I found WAN and UPnP and I think they are correct as they are.

So it looks like I'm good to go!!!

I just need some dry underwear and another brain cell.
