It seems that no matter what I do I can not get this POS to frakking work!!
OK, venting complete, here's the problem. I've got two boxes, one running WinXP Pro x64, the other running Win98SE, both I'm trying to connect through a Linksys BEFSR41 v3 router. Both boxes can talk to the router, and both boxes connect to the internet. Both also have the port checker from PortForward.com installed. PFchecker on the XP box reports all the necessary ports as open but when I go to access the D2, I can't because I get the stupid firewall error. Same error for the 98 box but PFchecker reports the ports as closed, even though they're marked in the router as open.
I'm trying to get this to work so me and my girlfriend can get on the D2 together and I'm pulling my hair out trying to get it to work.
