Title: Hey all I am still around

Been quite a while since I even looked at the Taldren forums.  Of course I had to reregister since the old ones are now apparently dead.

Always preferred the models forum as folks here were more interested in creations rather than trolling.

What have I been doing for the last year or so?

 
• My wife passed away from cancer July 1 of 2002.  Many of you folks posted wonderful condolences on the forums at that time. They were much appreciated. Thank You.
   
• I finished up with the schooling I was taking in mid December.  (watch repair refresher course for those interested)
   
• Been setting up shop in my home. (with a lot of security precautions and etc)
   
• Gamewise have been playing Dungeon Seige and Neverwinter Nights.  DS has a great engine and so-so play, NWN has great backround gameplay and a really marginal game engine (can we say enhanced 2D as in the old Doom games?)
   
• Picked up Max 5.1 and finished the Nova mesh I started months ago (3616 polys).  I am more impressed with the Max 5 capabilities than I have been with the prior iterations.
   
• Finally the last month or so I finally let myself be just a bum and not do anything constructive. (vacation if you will)
   

I know the next question a lot of you are asking is about ShipEdit.  Sorry folks, but it is a dead horse.  No can do.  At this point couldn't even really answer any questons about it.  Remus is just not interested in fighting with it anymore, and I am in about the same boat.  Just do not have the time or inclination to mess with it anymore.

In any case I am back to some extent, and wanted to pop in and say "Hi!"

Welcome back HE! Good to know you are doing ok.  Excellent news on the Nova!

Hello!

Allot has gone on since you left...

Lots of new faces, and many old ones have gone. Most of the modellers from your era have left for good unfortuantly but can be found at other forums and modelling for other games still. Some have given up of modelling all together either by choice or by work.

Glad to see you are doing well though
