yep its time for my tri Monthly on topic post.
and its easy
"ship in a bottle" the best one on the whole series..
-
Yesterday's Enterprise.
-
Although not quite "on" topic. (not SFC, just ST.) but close enough. LOL

As for me: Redemption I & II
-
"best of both worlds" was good also..

I don't remember the name of the episode, up an old Klingon ship had it's crew come out of stasis. It had wonderful cliff hangers just before the commercials.
-
That was "The Emissary" (TNG, not the DS9 pilot of the same name.)
Mine has little space action, but a trul compelling story and a fine performance by Patrick Stewart. I submit..."The Inner Light"
-
There are plenty that I like, and since The Best of Both Worlds was already mentioned, I'll add Time's Arrow I & II
-
The last one....YEA!
-
All the eps with Klingons that led up to the Klingon Civil War with Gowron, especially the one with Riker as the exchange first officer.
-
The one where it begins with a probe scanning the "Enterprise" and then Picard is transported and lives a full life on an ancient planet
He has a family and see,s the probe launched (The one that scans him 500 years later)
When he comes out of it, He,s only been gone 20 mins or so
I was wowed by that Epidode
Also "The Enemy" and the one with the Enterprise at "Nelvana 3"
In fact i like a lot of ST-TNG
-
All good things .. parts 1 and 2
-
I have many favorites, but todays choice must be Redemption, both 1 and 2, and all the Klingon civil war episodes after that, it was fantastci especially the part where Gowron's Vorcha was being attack and the Enterprise broke out lol lol lol, that was funny

What was the on episode that had the enterprise visit a planet where only an old man his wife existed. deanna started hearing a music box over and over, and at the end, It turns out the man had whiped out a whole race of people with his mind.
Picard said something to the effect that "we don't have the wisdom to judge you for your crimes" .
Anyway that's my addition to the best TNG episodes.
That one's called "The Survivors" One of the few times TNG pulled off a plot twist that caught you offguard. I liked it a lot too.

Davey, that was the episode that I voted for, "The Inner Light".
-
Cheers Mentat! How is our uber Taldren conservative doing these days?
To answer the topic, I'd have to say "First Contact" as my TNG of choice. Not the movie, the episode of course. It's all about the prime directive in that one. Well done on all counts.
Now the question remains...did Riker actually screw that crazy hospital doctor chick before his daring escape attempt? If that's the case, somehow I don't think he'll ever tell anyone about it, save for mabye Doctor Crusher during the routine post-mission physical *ahem* exam...
CIV out.

"Measure of a Man" had to be my favorite.
-
I really liked "Q Who", the first encounter with the Borg. Heh, back before they were nerfed in Voyager the Borg really could put a chill into ya.

A truly great episode. If I were an ethics instuctor, I'd definitely show that one to my class.
-
I actually have a ton of favorite TNG episodes, but I would have to say "Yesterdays Enterprise" is my favorite. It had a creative plot, editing was good, and kept the Time paradox a mystery even though it was integrated into the story well.

The one with Nelvana 3?

"The Defector" staring yours truly
Seriously, although the Defector is one of my favorite episodes, I like Unification, Redemption, and Descents (had to throw in a non-Romulan one, too)

TNG is my favorite series (it helps that I grew up to it, as opposed to TOS)
It was TNG that caused me to be a Romulan fan

Next Gen Bump, just in case someone missed it..
-
"Darmok" was a good one! "Darmok and Jelad at Tenagra."
