Guess I shouldnt have taken such a long break. Is SL is up or is it history?
-
Who were you?
-
Well, played SFC1 from the beginning on Mplayer. Then SFC2 on Gamespy.
SL fleets I was in were
House of Zakath
Red Claw
House of Martok
Ministry of Kahless
I used Mournblade as callsign and players I remember;
Riva, Cherek, Kruger, Jedi, Seki, Koth, Kravik, Wasp, and some others lost to a failing memory

Kewl, welcome back...

SL? I remember that name from my SFC1 days. A leaque wasn't it?
Anyway, you will find most of the old guys hanging out in the D2 forums.

SL died and was replaced by the Gamer Z league...
or just GZ as it is called now... however, many have moved over to the Dynaverse since the campaigns and rules and victory conditions make playing much more fun than arguing over GZ terms...
also, if you need to update your games...
please visit my web site at http://www.nightsoftware.com/effhq/home3.html
I have full patching instructions for all SFC games, along with the patches local on my site and bonus material, extra mission packs, etc... also if you want to run a server, I also have the current server kits available for DL...
hope that this information helps...
Current patch for SFC 1 is v1.03 (Final - Support Ended)
Current patch for SFC II EAW is v2.0.3.6 (Final - Support Ended)
Current patch for SFC II OP is v2.5.4.12 (Final - Support Ended)
Current patch for SFC III is v1.01 (Beta) Build v500 (Still being worked on)
Again, hope that this helps..

MoK eventually evolved into a group called 'TAG" or Total Aggression Gaming. They had branched out to other games and got tired of trying to find a name that would match the acronym 'MoK'. They may still have their TAG website up if you search for that name.
As an SFC fleet however they are basically defunct, as are the other fleets you mentioned.
SL did indeed crash and burn - it was quite an epic drama, kinda like the diaspora. Several different leagues sprung up in the aftermath - AFCUB became GamerZ (GZ), and their was a league called Gate Runner (GR) and there is also a TIGC, but I think they only do a campaign for SFC. In any case, it was quite chaotic.
In the end, if you go on Gamespy (were you around for Gamespy replacing MPlayer?), you'll find the majority of the players in there are playing for the GZ ladder, otherwise they're in there for fun game. GZ's pretty much got the SFC ladder market.
I would also add that GZ is a much better run league than SL, add much of the pain of match negotiations has been aleviated. You can still run into jerks, but unlike SL, you can just walk away from the table.
Jedi on occasion can be found in the GZ forum, but has largely stopped playing SFC.
Seki is still around from time to time.

Lol. That's funny, and cool! 8)
TAG was MoK? Interesting. Always had fun with the TAG crew. I remember one night in particular we KATs invaded the TAG server, oh man the cheese flew like you never saw... I came across a fleet of three ISC BBs flown by two human pilots... so I disengaged, went back to base, bought two more Z-MDC+s to match their 3xBB fleet and went back and blew up two of their BBs before the third chased my last MDC+ off the board. I did it twice more before they got mad. Just a little lesson on cheese. They didn't stay mad and flew 3xBB cheese fleets a little less knowing they can be easily taken out by a much cheaper human controlled cheese fleet.
Ah, the good ol days...
