Title: Is there EVER going to be a NON-beta SFC3 patch?
Post by: ThomasCovenant on August 20, 2003, 11:31:13 pm
Just wondering...time passing, and more time, and more time...and no sign, or mention, of a non-beta patch.

Someone?  Anyone?  Is there going to be a patch this year?

Yes there will be a patch.
Yes it will be non-beta, but will go through beta stages first.
As for "this year"... of what I've witnessed it looks promising.

Does it really matter whether the patch says beta or final as long as it fixes the game? Anyway, given that there will not be another patch after the first official one, I would think that SFC3 players would want to spend as long as possible fixing bugs.

Yeah... I think a lot of SFC3 players would have heart attacks if SFC3 was taking the same patching stratagy as EAW and OP. Maybe we are just more understanding? :P

The answer to this question lies strictly with Activision.  If they are interested
in serving the people that purchased the game, then yes there could be one
at any time.

We also continue to improve any prospective patch.

Thanks,

Dave
