I feel like a dunce for asking this, but where in My Home does one go to put in an avatar URL?

Go to edit your personal profile and scroll down until you see the space for the url for your picture.

Kieran,

To post an Avatar:

Go to My Home

Look in Main Configuration

Choose to edit Personal information, email, password, etc.

Near the bottom of the page there's a text box that reads:
URL to your picture (80x80 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted)

Type the URL to your Avatar in.

Hit submit at the very bottom of the page.

Walla...instant Avatar!

Well it just meant I had to go and find a nifty one of my own...I guess my avatar really is of the Commander...007 that is, almost as cool methinks. At least for now.

Hmmmmm I must be dumb.
I did as dave said and cut& pasted. When I hit the submit button, I get the message "Can not Proceed Improper picture type" Is it me or something wrong in the system?

If you click on the link above, and can see it, it should work.

Make sure you cut and past the full link from above into the box below the following:
URL to your picture (80x80 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted)

Happened to me too until I deleted the pre written http:/ in the box. When I pasted the link in after that it showed up fine as you can see.

Ah I found the problem. I had too many http:// in the line

Hello David
I noticed that the following sfc2 portraits are missiing as avatars
Federation, Klingon, Romulan, gorn, orion pirates hydran. Would it be possible to get those
added to the list also. Nice job on the forums by the way I like the new lay out :
