Technical Notes: Since this ship uses the PB-32 engines, you should increase warp engine power to 16 points each. Harpdoints 1, 2, 3 fire from under the front of the saucer, hardpoints 4, 7, 8 fire from the lip structure under the shuttlebay. Hardpoint 17 fires from the aft, 16 fires from below the sec hull.
Other Notes: Start year = -23, End year = 11, Base = F-CA (USS COnstitution). The F-CC+ should be the Phase-II Enterprise design, a great model for that was made by the StressPuppy.
Shipnames Note: Should be the F-CC in your shiplist. The latest version of OP, for some mysterious reason, does not have the correct shipnames for the F-CC class, although in earlier versions of the game it was more correct. If you want the correct shipnames, copy and paste the following list into your assets/strings/shipnames.txt file, but first making a back-up of the original of course. Open the file with Notepad and scroll down until you see *** |F-CC|1706 Exeter **** followed by a list of ships of that class. Erase that list and replace it with the following:
|F-CC|1712 BonHomme Richard
||1713 Monitor
||1714 Hornet
||1715 Merrimac
||1718 Excelsior
||1720 Lafayette
||1721 Wasp
||1722 El Dorado
||1723 Ari
||1724 Saratoga
||1725 Tori
||1726 Krieger
||1764 Defiant

OUTFRIGGINSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Been waiting a LOOOOONG time for this one. Thanx Atra for the sweet ship.
-
Note: There are TWO seperate lists, one after the other, for the F-CC in the shipnames.txt file in OP.....this must be a mistake. At any rate, erase both of them because neither are correct, and replace it with the list I give here.

This dont look like a War Destroyer to me, But you know that ill download it anyway.

Does to me if you want to kill a destroyer in a war the best way to do it is with a heavy cruiser!
Nice ship again atra keep them coming I was planning on redoing my shiplist and I would hate to have to wait to long to do it
-
Redoing the shipnames.txt file is fun too.
-
Great looking ship Atrahasis! I especially like how you're following a consistent timeline with your work. Thanks for all the "goodies"!
-
Atra,
You mentioned rear-firing phasers and mid-ships phasers, and I just wanted to point out that the Fed CC has four such phasers. Two are phaser-1s, and two are phaser-3's, in addition to the six standard phaser-1's on the saucer. They're located directly on the bottom of the engineering hull and have 360 degree firing arcs. Just thought you might be interested.
-
Oh, I know. But what I found astounding was that the specs for the F-CC with those extra phasers and all was purely a SFB invention in the 1970's and was info that was not backed up by the original Technical Manual, and yet you have recent Paramount info (and even games like Klingon Academy) in the 1990's saying that the series production Enterprise does indeed have all those extra weapons........and up till then you had Paramount more or less using info and facts from only the original Tech manual and ignoring everything else........which may mean that this is a case of Paramount borrowing from SFB. I find things like that interesting.
Those 2 aft Phaser-3's by the way weren't a part of the original F-CC specs, I think rather they are supposed to substitute for ADD's which is why they have 360 arcs (many ships have extra Phaser-3's in SFC because when SFC 1 first came out there were no ADD's.)
-
One could very well use this ship and create a "retro-Paramount" version of the series production Enterprise, by adding the the following:
Increase warp engine power to 16 each.
2 X Phaser-1 at hp 16 (bottom of sec hull), 360 arc.
2 X Phaser-1 at hp 17 (aft fantail), RH arc.
1 X Photon Torpedo at hp 4 or 7 or 8, RA arc (aft torpedo).
Then you have quite a kick-ass Commmand Cruiser.

Another masterpiece...

Okay the BonHomme Richard or Constitution Class (series run) uses PB-32 warp engine nacelles and the Achernar Class uses PB-47 warp nacelles. So what warp engines does the Enteprise from "The Cage" and "Where No Man has Gone Before" use? PB-27? PB-30? Those engines have intakes that are a darker red like the PB-47 and don't seem to swirl and have what I believe are antennaei pointing out the front of them.
-
mind if i make a conversion for sfc3?
-
Hey At, just took her for a spin. Awesome work, as always. I notice that the deflector dish is kinda dark, though...

Correctumundo....."The Cage" Enterprise has what is know by Ships of the Starfleet as PB-31. Basically the TOS warp engine types go like this:
PB-31 (Pilot episode Enterprise)
PB-32 (BonHomme / Series production Enterprise)
PB-47 (Achernar / Animated series Enterprise)
LN-52 (Endeavor)
LN-64 (Enterprise-class)
And then the Phase-II engine style, which I forget the name for....I'm sure Bernard knows though.
-
I kinda like FASA nameing system on the engines and weapons and shields myself.
-
FASA is a quagmire of inconsistency between the specs and the diagrams though. A given ship can be said to have a certain engine type, but when you look at another ship with the same type, it's a different pic. They didn't delineate very clearly between what was a TOS-style and a TMP-style engine.

I think the phase II engines are LN 60 Mod 3, like the ones used on the Constitution (II) class detailed in Ships of the Starfleet. I could be wrong, but this seems logical to me, given the timeline.
-
that's just sweet!

By gum, I think you've nailed it.
-
Just a clarification.....the Enterprise during Kirk's 5 year mission was stilled a Constitution-class, but one that had been uprated to BonHomme specs.

Where Are you geting these names, I cant seem to find Ships of the starfleet anywhere. And I know there was A web site at one time.
-
Sorry, not SotSF but rather the Federation Reference Series which predates it. Some Klingon ship names are from the various novels as well.
-
In the DS9 episode "Trial and Triblations" Dax mentioned that Captain Koloth's ship that arrived at Deep Space Station K-7 when the Enterprise was there was named the I.K.S. Gro'th(sp?) yet that D-7 name isn't on ur list. Is it cannon because it was in an episode or is it bullsh*t because it's Berman/Braga?
-
Ooops thanks for reminding me of that one!
-
It's canon. B&B didn't have alot to do with DS9 actually(probably why it turned out good).
-
Notice that the names for some of the D-7's are actually Greek words and one is even French? Atropos, Lachesis, Thanatos.....and Tuer, which means "to kill" in French.
-
Alright! I'm knocked off the Internet a few days and I come back to see the Bonhomme Richard is ready. That's a cool welcome back for me!
Thank you, Atrahasis!
I love that ship!
-
And now....for the Siva, which should do well as your F-DDL and F-DDG.

Look at all the goodies I've missed this past week from traveling.
Allow me to bump the BonHomme Richard and to offer my thanks. It was important to me to have a proper refit that matches your Constitution. I'll be spending the rest of the evening installing the new models and verifying the comparitive scales and registries. Again, thank you Atrahasis, I could not have asked for better.
