akula TOS style.. the one i am using now just does not look as good as the stuff you put out.. what are the possibilities of you doing a kb? make sense? i be it would take you just a quickie to make one. PULLEEEEASSEEEE. you dont want to make a moderator beg would ya??
-
You mean the perimeter action ship Akula, or the stock Taldren Akula? If the latter, I could probably trhow one together in under an hour too.
-
this is what im talking about (it is my current model).. but it stands no where in comparison to say atra's patton. so if i could get what i want.. i would take the patton and kb it to look like the first image (the tos version of the akula).
thanks!

Is something like this acceptable?

OH MY! YES IT IS!

that was fast.
where can i download it?
-
Well, lemme just customize the textures a bit, and I'll have it up for d/l by tomorrow probably. When it is, I'll let you know where to get it.
-
excellent and a big thank you!

Hey, I've been doing the SFB and SoSF ships, might as well do that KA one. One thing I'm gonna have to insist on though for consistency's sake is that I'm going to have to size-down the nacelles. Having two Constitution-type nacelles on that volates a lot of established fandom. On a ship like the Detroyat is OK, which at least has somewhat of a secondary hull, but on the Akula is probably overdoing it.

could I suggest that the reactor loop get placed in a top bottom position side to side doesn't look right to me .

I'd agree there........the reactor loops have to face each other if at all possible.

Nannerslug:
I uploaded the Akula to Starforce2's server, hopefully he will post it by tomorrow.
-
great nova! looking forward to it.
atra, could you show me what you mean? i know this sounds funny coming from me, but what reactor loops.. the blue part, right?
-
The reactor loop is on the same side as the magnatomic flux chillers.
-
....which is perpendicular to the first stage magnatomic flux constrictor. LOL
Bernard, can you explain it any better?
-
Just for the record Nanner - Atrahasis doesn't have a USS Patton, I do. I think you were referring to his Bonhome Richard Connie variant instead of my noncanon TOS design. Wouldn't want anybody getting confused, not like those ships are at all similar to each other...
-
LOL.. yes, it was the Bonhome i was thinking about.. sorry WZ. DOH!
-
I would but all my technical material is packed for the move to the house this weekend
I do have a nice cad dwg file with everything annotatated, but you woul have to down load an autodesk whip driver
in order to zoom up the dwf file to read it.
