First time post (well it's been a loooong time) long time lurker...
We in the SFCx group are looking for models, created or new, to fill out the Starblaser universe for a current project.
If you are interested, have models, or are willing to make a few please contact me (email or PM here) or better EmeraldEdge (our lead model guy). We would welcome any and all models from the "big dog" (BB Yamato) to the smallest fighters.
We are working on setting up a campaign that would use all of these and a custom shiplist and fighterlist. So feel free to do what ever cool things that you want to, as long as they are based on Starblazers. However try and keep the poly count reasonable as this will be for a campaign that will be open to the general public.

On a more serious note ... this request is NOT a gag guys. I'm serious and will welcome any help / submissions / advice. We are working on a proof of concept mod for a possibly even larger project so we really need models and modelers.

I'm goin' for something on a lower end level so it won't tax the folks with lower end systems (there seem to be a lot in the SFC community, at times. Maybe most have upgraded now, I don't know), but that's my personal drive. I haven't tackled any textures yet because I really don't know what the textures on these look like. I've never seen the series unfortunately, but have heard about it a lot, and there aren't a lot of pics of these. I'm workin' off the schematic views at:

Trying to do the ones that are "official", at least at first. Anyhow, it woud sure be nice to see what other people can come up with. It's a lot of models to build for an entire mod.

The Starblazers ships would get many other non-SFC players that I know to play SFC games on and offline. My brother is one of those folks who would play a Starblazers mod for SFC. Who can forget the mighty Argo? A single ship that ultimately saved the Earth from the Gamelons, Comet Empire and a myriad number of other foes.
I'll never forget the scene in the end of the first series where the Gamelons had a screw equipped missile penetrate the wave motion gun and nearly split the ship in half but they managed to pull through! Then came Star Trek: Voyager with a bazillion episodes that pitted that single ship against the Borg Collective, the Krenim and other super ships/fleets....
I do know that somebody, I don't remember who, posted pics of an EDF Hornet cruiser. I believe that post was on the OLD Taldren model forums.
Hollis J. Wood did make Prince Zordar of the Comet Empire's flag ship (minus the comet effect). Perhaps the Comet effect could be done using planet luminiation effects as used in SFC3????

KF, that's why were working on it. We feel as you do, that people will like it. If we can just get a good mix of models and some other graphics I think it will work. We certainly want to give it a good try.

Actual have that one, it's a beutiful ship. Twin Wave Motion Guns (WMG) on the bow make for a scary sight when they are pointing at you.

There are two official (note, I said 'official') versions of the SBB Yamato (c2199 and c2202) and it also has a "sister" ship the SBB Musashi (c2202). The Musashi has, get this, a Wave motion TURRET as well as the WMG in the bow. Can you say "ouchies for everyone"? Yikes!
As far as I know though the SBB Musashi info can only be found in the Starblazers FBS rules (which I have) and I've not seen any online pics of it.

So instead I went through the archives page by page until I happended upon a file named sb_andr or something very similar. And it was what I was looking for!

Now we are still looking for White Comet and other baddies. The shiplist is comming along nicely and I will be putting that up as well for all to play with but we really, really need ships.

Well obviously I have not yet had the chance to post any new data but work is proceeding on this mod however slowly.
Thanks to whom ever for unsticking this ... I'll find out who you were and suitably "reward" you ...
Again, we are still looking for models of all kinds. Atra will hopefully have his three pack done before we all expire of old age (j/k!!! I'm just as bad!!) but 3 ships does not a mod make. So if you are willing and able, please look at helping out with a model or two.
And yes, I still intend on posting pics for reference.

First, we have Atrahasis' Andromeda I found on a site a long time ago. Nice model (although a little hard to see but I was in a hurry).
heh, and again, but with a couple of my CA Koenigsberg's in the foreground. There are a number of other ships in there too, but they are fairly dark, and lacking in full textures (as is the Koenigsberg, but I can't help myself but to play with them early sometimes).
The above has my Koenigsberg (lower center), Gearing (right) and the FF Airone (left) as well as an Arcadia but I couldn't find the file showing who did that one.
and finally a closer shot of the Koenigsberg and Gearing.
Mine are all suffering from texture issues (and a few other issues), as I've been through about 10 different looks on some of them, I just can't get what I want (although it would help to know myself). Not sure if I want to go for a more anime look or for more realistic, aaargh! The madness! Anyhow, they are being worked on.
