This Red version is supposed to be the prototype...an experiment, that the Romulans wanted
to try against the Federation-Klingon alliance. The name Ra'Tar is the name of the Red bird of prey that the Romulans
use in their emblem and is the red bird on the TOS BoP
I gave her 4 nacelles because I felt that the
Romulans were trying to extend the range of their tactics...espeacially since the artificial
quantum singularity drive had been in its prototype stage(possibly the Melak was the first
to have it)

My only thought is, to keep continuity with that time period, turn it around. Remember, the TOS BoP has the wings swept forward...looks more like a bat than a bird of prey....then again, it is experimental, and it is classified as a BoP; hmmmmm. I like it the way it is, but I can also see it the other way and it envisions pretty cool. 
You think you could tweak one out turned around as post pics? That way we could see it both ways and get a verdict...I say we see it and keep both the more I think about it. The experimental one is a limited production Tal Shi'ar ship and the other a new mainline scout to work with the Melak (that's one tough sumb1tch!).Another work of art from a master craftsman.

I'm you're still experiementing and trying out new stuff. Please never stop doing that!
As far as this design, I'm not entirely sure what to make of it. On one hand I like the overall shape, but I'm having a hard time thinking oi her a Romulan. Well, that's just my lack of imagination in some respect I guess. I'm mostly reminded of that big shuttle used in Babylon 5. Don't know what it's called...oh well.
Still, I'd prefer you to go with what you feel is right, and not what I say!
Overall, neat design!
