Title: All right you primative screw heads, listen up! (J/K)
Post by: Stormbringer on November 21, 2003, 11:53:06 pm
I have put a thread in the "Cool and Refreshing" forum seeking information about a JPL antimatter Powered cruiser design study from the seventies or eighties. The study and craft are unnamed, and I have been unable to get more info on it as a result. I'm hoping someone in this forum has either heard of the name ofthe craft or the study so that I can do better web searches on it. The JPL website is unhelpful in this regard. So I'm asking all of you to go look at the thread which contains a picture of the craft and a description of the concept. The previous page in the book it came from claims this ship was Gene's inspiration for the enterprise (at least as far as propulsion systems go.) I will ask Toasty to take down the graphic soon to free up his hosting space so please look while you can.

Thats a good article.Thanks. But I'm looking for the name of that ship and the title of the JPL design study. These are quite a bit older since I read the book in the early eighties. The study is at least that old and perhaps dating from the late 60's or the decade of the seventies. This design is roughly the size of the shuttle and was purportedly what inspired Gene Rodenberry to create the Enterprise's propulsion jargon.
