If you are interested in Voice chatting, I've got just the thing.
http://www.ventrilo.com is the website where you will find the needed software. Click downloads and download the file under the blue client header. Once you've installed it, you need to login.
Create yourself a username and severname (servername is for display only, can be anything but I suggest BCfiles)
Next, hostname or IP, you put this: 24.118.76.10
Port number is 3784
Password nightsoft
this will palce you in a general room.
to use the private taldren only room (recommended as the main room is for BCU)
click taldren only, your password is :
starfleetcommand
Rules for the room are fairly simple. Keep it civil. I'm going to warn people now that foul language may be present, however, if someone is using it excessivley, I will use the kick function to boot you off. You also have a mute fuction if you are sick of someone and no admins are available to boot them.
If you cannot connect, it could be because I have shut the main server down to alter settings or it has crashed, try back in 15 minutes. I will try to let people know if it is going to be offline for an extended period, but if it crashes when I am not home or sleeping it may be several hrs before I can bring it back online. Also, issues with lag may be incountered, as the max we have had is 5 people so far. I don't know my server's limit because I am not sure how much bandwith the program uses per user. The current setup is a demo for people to check out while we wait for a higher powered server.
Raven at nightsoft will be trying to get a permenent home for it, in which case we will not need to share rooms with BCfiles and taldren people, assuming we can be allowed by the host to run 3 occourances of the server program. If you would like to be the host and have a decent, relieable server, let me know and I can hook you up with people that can explain what is needed better than I.

there is a picture attachment in that thread that shows the settings window, should u not be able to get your mic working.

dude, i cant connect, whats going on?

apparently we might have a problem with the server program locking up for some reason? Might be related to my computer, or software, or perhaps the net itself. Can't be sure yet. As I said, if something happens and it's down and it's not back in 15-20 min then I am not home or sleeping and don't know it's messed.
