Title: SOT: Crystalline Entity...old tholian warmachine?
Post by: Fury_of_a_Seraph on December 27, 2003, 08:23:33 am
Think about it, they are both crystalline - obviously. the crystalline entity could have been an old automated war-machine made by the tholians, kinda like the planet-killer made by i-forget-who. but it had some SFB tie in.

cool Idea...but in TNG they established that the Crystaline Entity was a living organism as opposed to a machine/machine like weapon.
never the less awesome idea...and great connection to the Tholians

if its a living organism than it could be still a Tholian warmachine grown to be a super space warrior like the species 8472 ships in Voyager

Or like the original Voyager- V'Ger!  He was a simple ball of gears launched by NASA and became (by the Borg???) a real thinking, feeling machine.  Maybe the Borg got hold of some old Tholian frigate and started to add stuff... until it warped off on its own!  Sheesh... what a rocky line of reasoning!
