Title: Have I missed much?

Hello peeps,

Some may know my name, some may not.

Not played in an age. Rusty as a 100 year old blade in oxygen rich water.

I want to get back into the saddle. Where should I be looking?

Well it depends on what you have and what your preferences are.. if you are into multiplayer Dynaverse campaigns.. then SFC II Empires at War, SFC II Orion Pirates, and SFC 3 The Next Generation is where to look...

Orion Pirates has the better life of the SFC II games and has many servers running and many more planned...

SFC 3 has a lot of modded servers to play on as well as stock servers..

just make sure your game is patched to the latest version...

SFC 1 : v1.03

SFC II : EAW : v2036

SFC II : OP : v2552

SFC III : TNG : v500

Look in the Announcements section of these boards for links to the patches (for SFC 1 go to http://www.nightsoftware.com/effhq/sfc12.html )

Also look in the Dynaverse 2 area and the Dynaverse 3 area to see what servers are running and to see if you need any downloads to log on to a particular server..

I was into sfc2 D2 and op D2.

If it?s still going strong, I?d like to join a campaign.

depends tanked. good to see ya.

OP is rocking along and there are going to be some wonderful servers like klingon civil wars, etc.

sfc3 is doing well with at least 3 mods and 2 more solid productions on the way. take your pick, its a blast!

I'm in much the same sitch.

I was at your GAW site, but I was still a little unclear on how to prepare for joining up.

Could you fill in the blanks here?:

Install SFC3 ---> SFC3 Beta Patch ---> ??? ---> ???

OK to get on to the campaing server go to forums here is the URL.

Or you can look under the D3 part of these fors for all of the links to the download.
You will need to install the game.
Then install the patch that Taldren put out.
Then download and install the Gens Mod Version 1.00
Then download and install the Gens MOd patch 1.01
THen donwload and install the Gens Mod patch 1.03
the password ofr the server is yarn.
If you would like to use voice comms for the server we are using Teamspeak

I believe he was asking about OP servers. (EAW is mostly dead now and will be for sure once the SQL kit for OP is released.)

I recommend Empires - It's seeing the most action on OP right now.

Install OP, patch to 2.5.5.2:
SFC:Orion Pirates Patch 2.5.5.2 Available Now

Get FireSoul's OP+ 3.2 (I recommend the version with models)

OK, I guess he doesn't want to play OP then... Tanked - you're in for a completely different game, SFC3 is nothing like its predecessors.
