I've got a model which, if someone is willing I'd like to see a vessel of mine converted to SFC2/3.
Basically I don't have anywhere to post any images myself, but my models a 1155 poly remake of the one in this thread below:

I've got two different size texture sets (512*512 and 1024*1024) with it. My problem is I've got no SFC modding skill at all so anyone who's willing to do this the help would be appreciated.

I could do it fairly easily for you if you have the model in .ms3d, .3ds, or another common form. You can e-mail it to interstellarmachine@hotmail.com and I will try to get to it in the next couple days. Send the model, textures and the length in meters that the ship should be.

man bringing ships into SFC is easyer than making them for Armada

Thanks InterMech. I also thought I recognised your nickname.
Terra. I'd love to actually give this a go myself, but I have no idea where to even start. I've gotten the tutorial that was released so I might give it go before I do anythign else. One thing though is how is the scaling worked out for resizing the model??

Usually, I scale parts on the Armada mesh against pre-existing SFC models of a similar design. If there's nothing similar, then I look at the scale it was on TV or in movies (if it was) and try to get a similar scale. If not from there, then it's best guess. But usually the scale translates well for me, as it does for me when I convert over a .LWO if the LWO was originally scaled down from a default size.

I usually just scale it to the size of the model it is going to replace in the game...that way it cuts down on the shields going through the model.
