Looking at it from the top,it reminds me of the star I put on top of my Christmas tree.

Sorry sir,I don't think I like this one.But..........those Romulans Oooooooooooooooooo baby,someone get to Modeling them PLEASE.

I see some resemblence to Thu11s Hydran TNG CA, most notably the lower spike/pylon. Is this what you were aiming for?

Azel/Atolm designed that one aswell which would explain the similarity, but seriously neither of them look anything like the Hydrans from SFB or SFC, maybe a developement of the Lancer destroyer - which is just a slab pointed at the front anyway. If you ditched the spike on the bottom then it'd look like a distant relative of that one.

Like Kaenyne said, put some Hydran textures on her and she'll be there...remember, it's a concept drawing and Azel designs are usually more "organic", unless he's doing TMP or TOS.

Not bad bud...someday, I'll be able to mesh out something like this, but now, it just isn't "plain" enough for my skils.

Don't worry about him Buzz, he always get grumpy when his drawings don't get a good response...what do ya expect, he's an artist and artist are very touchy.

But hey, some of his designs are too much for a lot of people here...no vision.

seems to me to be a logical respone to what ships we had seen in SFC2... you know, steps... this is the next step, and a very believeable one

hehehe.... I 'm a SCIFI writter (of sorts

) ... hehe trust me I know !! Actually to tell ya the truth ... most of his stuff is absolutely the best .. I was just teasing him about Hydran fighters ( I really HATE those little buggers !! )

As for being grumpy ... NAH .... he's cool ... You should catch me in a "good" mood !!! They dont call me Olbuzzard for nothing. (Trust me ... the name fit like a glove for a good reason !)

Now this is potentialy useful. I'm very happy to use the Corsair for the Hydran X2 frigate. This would make a good sister ship if it is sized as something smaller than a dreadnought. Hmmm, perhaps the textures from the Corsair would be a good starting point?

Nice ships. Sure they can be Hydans with the right colors. I do think that they are beyond TNG era. Kinda pushing towards the 29th century perhaps by then the Fed/Hydran alliance might even collapse and they could be adversaries. They sure have the distinctive Azel look to them.

One thing I have noted is that I have seen that lower pylon appear in some of your Gorn designs as well as 29th century Feds. Though I believe that might be likely, as design does not happen iinside a bubble. For example, notice how when a car mfg makes a hatchback, in a couple years there are 4 manufacturers all making a hatchback that has a similar body style. Same with SUV's. So after a few cenuturies(or less), I could see races starting to borrow from one another so to speak.

Another point and it may not be commom. But I think TMP Hydran designs and Dominion TNG designs are similar.
Dominion ships could almost be TNG era Hydrans with the right texture scheme. They both share a long streamline hull in classes above FF I mean. Though the Dominions hull tends to be wider. Then the Nacels have a similar shape and placement.
