something is amiss..

I got kicked off the server twice already. (first time, I barely logged in, and the second time was after I completed a shipyard defence.)

I seem to be having a problem as well....

The game says my version is up to date, but when I get to that campaign selector screen, there arent any servers listed?

Any idea whats going on?

You can blame packet loss.

Something is causing packet loss somewhere.

Hit refresh a couple of times.  Even if you do get on the server, there may be a few moments where packet loss occurs and you lose connection.  The server isn't crashing but your computer just loses its connection to the server momentarily.  Wait a few mins and try again.

DarkElf, the strangest thing was happening on the server today. Windwalker and I have been attacking the same hex over and over again and the defense does not seem to be dropping. In fact it is going up. I thought someone else might be attacking the same hex, but when I checked the news, I saw over a dozen attacks by the Klingon Empire (me and Windy),  and only 3 other attacks all by the Orion Pirates Cartel.

After soo many missions without any progress, I am at a loss to explain what is happening. Even solo missions don't seem to help. Do you have any ideas?

I was working that same hex at that time, as well as GDA-Doc I think. I was in a drone boat, precisely to run fast missions.

Whenever I faced a klink AI, the news gave an item "hex 3,22 attacked by Klingons" after mission ended. Similarly when I faced orion AI, the news fingered the orions. This is all as it should be.

During the time in question, I didn't run into any live players at this hex. Coincidence. I was able to run very fast missions. Hence the result. My guess is, there was nothing wrong with the server.

Perhaps. I am surprised the server did not identify the Federation instead of the Orions.

In any case,  I had no intention of accusing anyone of anything.

I just did not understand what was going on.
