Hey guys, I am a bit of a perfectionist. While I love all the new ships that come out the one thing that drives me kind of nuts is when I place a ship in the game sometimes it places all the weapon arcs in roughly the same spot and facing in completly wrong directions....I am sure someone knows what I mean....Anyone know how to fix this??

what version ofthe game are we talking about here, there are 4 of them you know.
-
Beta 1.01 with Generations at War installed....

So we are talking SFC 2 EAW or OP here correct?
if so let me see you say you select a weapon and it fires from the wrong side of the ship, correct?
If so then you have the Hardpoints numbers wrong or selected the wrong arc well when typing it in
so if you have ship edit for phasers11-20:
11 generally is the forward
with odd numbers on the onn the left and even on the right side of the ship.
heavy weapons geneally 1-10:
even numbers are usually on the left
odd numbers are usually on the right
So if the above pattern holds true then the Hardpoints are in the wrong locations. If you used Milkshape to add them that could be why as it usually inverts their locations.

oh now I see what you mean by version. I meant SFC3 sorry Captain Ron
......um and not having it fire the wrong way in the game...that works ok...but when I am selecting what ship I want....the ship is there and the weapons are all shown but they are all in one spot, like grouped together on the diagram of the ships forward hull, and when I go to the arc view, a weapon that say fires off the right side of the ship will be on the left side. I weapon that fires forward will be on the back of the ship....hope that helps...if not let me know I will try to get a screenshot.

That is some one did not fill out the files correctly to the hardpoint locations on the ship.
I forget the files but it has to do with the load out files and a gf file, you need the hardpoint editor from taldren that can be found on the nightsoft site to fix it. Not sure how it is done as I only did two ships for SFC 3 and never truily learned how to do it myself.
