Title: Model request: Tiger class colonial destroyer

In the old BSG Millue there is a missing model; the destroyer. It is a slightly smaller version of a colonial battlestar without the outriggers and a shorter midsection and four axial super lasers and multiple missile bays. it does have small fighter bays on the main body. there is a good picture and 3D object on the battle star pegasus site if it is still up. it was as of last year. In addition I have not seen battle stars with the other colonial registry names in the series like the atalantia, pegasus, and other colonies. these should be simple to do. perhaps someone looking for something to practice on could do these easily?

its from the starship scematics there are also a few other classes there that look good some are over the top but all worth a look.

and on the note of other battlestars i have a couple of the others i have the Atlantia and the Gemini already done and awaiting release

I have a fondness for the atlantia even though she was destroyed right away. It is a good name.

 T agree personaly i have a saying if the name suits the ship then it deserves to live   im also glad your happy with the scematics on the Tiger

yes. memory was a little fuzzy. outriggers hold for mega lasers plus the two in the front end. mid section is proportional to battle star but smaller?  only two megalasers are actually coaxial then.

Odd thing  is IIRC the battlestars were supposed to have two megalasers up front but I dont recall them ever being used in the series.

the galactiac never had the fitted but the pegasus did they were used just never shown because they didnt have the budjet

yeah they were used when the pegasus took on the 2 basestars. lol

Looks great!! My only suggestion is to shorten the nose a tad...it's a little long, but other than that, it looks great!!

I had been there before but lostthe link. there is also another good site called battlestar pegasus (i think) which has good info and a 3 d model unless it has been taken down. Based on the link you gave I wonder ifthe back ofthe laser outriggers is the proper place forthe fighter and transport bays?

 Cheetah Class Light Cruiser

It seem just a matter of removing the middle section of the Battlestar all together and just mating the front to the engines.

the pegeus link was were i found the original galatica i have .  it was from a homeworld mod.  

but the link to the meshes no longer work there. at least for me

just change the surface details a little so it is not too obvious and of course the tapered mid section. A straight forward kitbash otherwise. I like it also.

this is where I first learned ofthe other ships in the fleet and thier stats.


EDIT :  damn it all links including the meshes  histories and stats are dead. oh well perhaps they will fix them the site is still operational and being maintained and updated.

wow im gone for 2 days and all this happens while your at it with all these new ships manitoba do me favor and make me the new galactica and cylon base stars dont worry about them been perfect i will dig out the sceenshots i took from the show itself and email you them i can get you a handfull of stuff for them and im on the look out for meshes of the new ships which would help out 6fold

yes i picking on u A_S .  lol   cause by whats written there u guess what i was in.  just like in a movie we do the flying while u gar-heads do the dieing.   just dont call me sir i work for a living now.   .  

well anyways the tiger is ready for clothes now.  i shortened the nose a little also.  still have to get to my sister's place to download those other models yet.  but who wants to put new clothes on this one.  i really think it needs new clothes.  put an address up someone.

perhaps have them named with the last names of the main actors from the original show? what do you think?
