I recently patched to the latest version of SFC3. I forgot to back up my defaultloadout and lost ALL my mod specs, but that's an aside. When I'm playing, I can no longer hear my officers speaking, reporting damage, shields status, etc. I also can't find any options to turn it on or off. How do I get it back?

Similar thing happened to me with the 531 patch. I no longer hear my officers reporting that I'm going to warp, or weapons fire, or anything but the music and the powering up to warp noise just before I jump.

Go into the SFC 3 game folder, find the sfc.ini game file, open it with notepad.
find the section
[Sound]
voice=0
GlobalVolume=100
MusicVolume=30
VoiceVolume=100
MaxChannels=16
disable=0
change voice=0 to voice=3
this will restore in game voices..
save file and close.
play game
Hope that this helps.

Worked. Thank you.
