Title: SFC3 Help! Lost all my dreadnaughts suddenly - what can I do?
Post by: fredlimwk on May 27, 2004, 09:44:50 pm
Has anybody ever had entire classes of ships not show up in the vessel library, not due to Invalid Ships specs?

I loaded up my SFC3 game a couple of days ago after adding some new ships to my default core and default loadout files and found that the dreadnaughts (DN class) of all 4 races were not showing up in the vessel libraries - all other classes seemed to be there (I haven't checked them all as there are 578 lines in my Default Core and 770 lines in my Default Loadout now, and I'd just added 3 more lines when this happened).

I reloaded a backup set of files and the same thing happened.

I uninstalled and reinstalled SFC3 and the V1.01 patch and still lost the ships.

I haven't tried reclassifying my DNs to other classes but I don't really want to do that either.

Can somebody please help?

Thanks!!!

Did you delete the game folder after uninstalling it.That is probably your problem when ever you uninstall a game don't forget to delete its folder.I would have made a backup folder contianing your orignal ships and place it some where safe. This way you wounldn't have lost all your ships as you could of gone back to the back up and make two.
I hope this solves your problem
If the game folder is in C:Programs/Activision delete it and reinstall there is a pinned up stickey in this forum it is only a single installer no need to DL 1.01 or the add on and don't forget to disable visual themes it is in your SFC3 Icon in the Activision folder right click click properties and and click disable visual themes.
 I hope this helps.
 You are Welcome.
The pinned up stickey reads single installer 531
