This is from a flyer, from local butcher shop I got in the mail.
for 80$ I can get this beef bundle
6-6 oz Filets
2-3 LB Roasts
2-1.5 LB Sirloin
24- Ground Chuck Patties
for 50$ I can get this Pork Bundle
6-6 OZ Filets
2lbs Cutlets
2lbs Butterfly Chops
3lbs Pork Chops
3lbs Choice Sausage
So what do you think is this a good deal or not on this amount of meat.

Hmm, I don't know Bro. for about $50.00 I can get around 25lbs of ribs with little to no bones Beef or pork at my Local groceiers. If It's fresh cut though It might be a good buy, the variety is there also.

Unless it's a really well-raised calf, I wouldn't go for it. The prices are about retail- maybe a shade under, like $10 at most.
If I could see it hanging before he cut it, I might go for it. Beware buying those bundles pre-wraped. You'll get a sorry cow that's not been on good feed and it'll be terrible meat.
Probably best to just get it at the store.

You are lucky they butcher the ribs here untill there is nothing but bone.
-
I think that they are both over priced. As Sirgod stated I think you would be better off at a retail market.

I can get the same bundles for about $30-$35 at most locally, and the quality is excellent.

K, don't buy it, I remember the 6 oz. filet mignons at H.E.B. in Austin, usually about 5-6 bucks for a twin pack. Roasts? Depends on what kind, some are already tender and need less cooking time, others are a tougher meat so they are less expensive and require more cooking time, and there is also the differences in flavor. Hamburger patties and Sirloin? Please, that is one of the most least expensive meats on the planet!
-
Oh well I cant afford all that anyway. But every so often they send out flyers, they are about the only butcher shop that does. So I was just kinda wondering.
