We all read about and surprisingly didn't discuss on a board the theft of AOL's customer database. That's caused serious problems for them.
In today's local newspaper, it seems that a 20yo local man was arrested for making interstate threats against a person in Virginia. The young man who in the past had ran for local constable and sheriff impersonated a Jackson MS police officer and was given the name and address that belonged to an AOL member. He then sent multiple threatening e-mails to the person.
There was no comment from AOL.

JUst a nother reason, I would not use AOL if my life depended on it. :P

Gee, as if the training wheels weren?t bad enough. The AOL people have to worry about being impersonated as well??!?
::)
Thank goodness it's not overpriced because then there would be no reason to use AOL at all!!!

AOL's customer data base being stored in a rusty file cabinet with no lock under a big neon sign that says "Steal me"
