RIDGELAND, Miss. -- A Ridgeland woman is lucky to be alive after she was taken out with the trash.

The unidentified woman was searching for her keys in a Dumpster Wednesday morning when a dump truck picked up the garbage with her inside, and carried her about two miles down Old Canton and County Line roads.

An unidentified witness heard screaming coming from the truck, and told the driver to stop.

Authorities said the woman is fortunate because the driver was in the process of crushing the load of garbage.

The woman was conscious when she was rescued, and was treated at a Jackson hospital for aches in several joints.

That happened to a guy in my area, except the driver crushed his load and the person trapped inside was killed.

okay i understand losing your keys in a small trash can
