From TrekWeb (http://trekweb.com/articles/2004/07/18/40fb3311c21e6.shtml)
Okay, this completely conflicts with earlier reports and statements that Star Trek 11 was going to be about the Romulan Wars and that Braga was not involved in it at all. Now, however, it might be entirely possible that a Starfleet Academy movie will be set against the backdrop of the Romulan Wars (Kind of like a "Green Dawn"), but given that Braga's recent interview made it sound like he was out of the loop on it, I'd call this report suspect. Still, I post it for public consumption and regurgitation.

*sigh*
spells trouble.
yes, they need to get harve bennet back in volved.. where is nic meyer! BRING BACK MEYER!!
-
Well, like I said, I'm suspcious of this given that Braga's statement from before sounded different. Variety is like Barry Bonds; when they strike out, they strike out spectacularly.

UHHHHGG! I had a lot of hope of ST 11 being based on the Romulan War (please, no ENT stuff). Now B & B being involved with it again just makes me even more worried. ::)
I second that Nanner, WHERE THE HELL IS MEYER??? And I do miss Benett some.

It Might have a Chance, If Nimoy will Direct again.

nick meyer was the best thing that ever happened to trek movies. watch the special edition star trek 2 dvd and listen to how much nick meyer had an impact on trek.. and he was not a trekkie.. between him and bennett - st 2 emerged.. much of the uniforms, how the weapons worked, ops and so forth were Meyer's vision. He imagined star trek as a version of haritio horn blower i think it was.. er somthing. i gotta watch the interview again.
his presence bled through again in ST6 with his vision of how the enterprise would look on prewar footing with the klingons. He imagined the "submarine" feel with space being spent on praticalities and the newer "touch pads" in ST5 are gone in favor of more traditional "buttons."
The man knows what he is doing - unlike B&B (sorry harry if you get offended.. but i am a *huge* meyer fan).

Sorry Nanner, I take It Meyer was The Producer or the Director of 2 and 6? If so they are My two favories so far.
Love the Dark Shaekspearean Tragedy Theme through both.

Best idea for a new "Trek" show would be a sitcom based in Quark's bar. Think of it as Cheers with aliens in it.
I am serious.

Actually I think Leonard Nimoy who directed 6...Nope, Yahoo lists it as Meyer...and Nimoy with writing credits on that one. Meyer also had screenwriting credits for #6, and it's executive producer was none other than...gasp...once again...Nimoy.

Thanks Dash, No wonder I had those two Confused.
