Title: wrong tractor mass in 534
Post by: atdi on July 21, 2004, 04:46:42 am
Hi!

I have installed the 534 patch on my german version of SFC3 and it works well. It fixes the version conflict (map size, and red line problems) but now i've fund a possible bugs. Every tractor in my game has 100 Mass. Tractor 1; cost 500, mass 100, tractor 2; cost 750, mass 100, and so on... Is this a bug or a "feature"?

Taldren might have changed it this way in order to accomplish the same thing the GAW does.  In the GAW mod, mass for tractors is setup the same way.  I forgot why Nanner set it up that way, but he had a reason.

I'm currently rebuilding a revision of v534 that includes the proper masses for the tractors per v464 (out of box)... I don't believe that there will be a problem with it.. however i am waiting for a response from David Ferrell concerning a different issue prior to releasing this revision...

so far Tractors are the only things being fixed in the revision.. aka v534 will be a re-release.. consider ir a v534a or v534.01

but the game patch so far will not change except for the tractor mass.. I didn't even notice that the mass had been altered in David's test build files.. as such, I hav corrected it and will make a posting on all forums concerning the revision once I have it up and knowing that nothing else easily fixable need be done.

Sorry for not catching this before.. I've been a bit busy.

Thanks for the heads up.
