Title: Newly Revamped Lyran Destroyer!

It has recently been brought to my attention that the old version of my Lyran Destroyer is inaccurate. (I bought the SFB miniature of it) I liked the new version I saw, so I decided to remodel it and all of its variants. I've finished the basic Destroyer hull, and here are some pics of it:

What do you guys think of the new version versus the old version? I think its leaner and meaner. Anyway, this will be available for download soon at my site.

I have to agree the newer one has a meaner lower look to it, IMHO its the better of the two. Perhaps offer both with a made-up backstory of them being competing designs? (With the newer "mean" model being the one that won, of course :D )

IMHO ...  a lot of the Lyran stuff could use some revamping.

Those are awesome, Desty- they will make far more interesting targets for the Pleadines to  deep-plasma fry! ;D

Actually, it'll be only three. The DD, the NCA, and the NCF. Lucky you.  ;)

Awww. ;D I was looking forward to that (quasi-serious) so how come the Cheetah and her variants don't get the 'cool' upgrade? I thought the Leopard was just a lengthened Cheetah.

Does it (they) use the original textures? ie, Can you just stick the .mod files into the LDR folders and upgrade those as well?

No unfortunately, it has new textures. So those must be downloaded as well. You can, however, drop the .mod file into the LDR folder.

BTW Marauth, I forgot about the war cruiser, I'm redoing that one as well. So you have more to download.  ;D

I agree the new version is definately leaner & meaner, i look forward to d/ling it!
