From the Sci Fi Wire (http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/art-main.html?2004-07/22/12.30.tv)
We already know that there's going to be a Vulcan Civil War arc coming up this year, but here's the kicker:
To bridge the gap, Coto envisions a story arc in which a revolutionary Vulcan?Coto calls him a "Lawrence of Arabia" of Vulcan?proclaims that Vulcans have strayed from the teachings of Surak, the legendary Vulcan who ushered in the Time of Awakening and founded the movement based on logic and peace. "And this character will lead a revolution on Vulcan, which will bring Vulcan and Vulcan ideals to where we know them in the later series," Coto said. "And Enterprise will get involved in this." As a result of this resurgence, the political situation with the Andorians changes, and mysterious dissidents on the planet Vulcan attempt to stir up a civil war (and will later be revealed to have been Romulans in disguise), he added. "That's an example of the kinds of stories that we're going to tell this season," Coto said.
Well, that's one way to start the Romulan Wars.

Romulans with ridges or without, though? They were 1000 times better without, if for the visual similarity to the Vulcans alone(allowing them to freely walk amongst those of the Federation without any major alterations).

I'd assume without, since they'd have to be posing as Vulcans.

Yeah, hopefully they wouldn't have them when they are posing as Vulcans (that would just be dumb), but I"m wondering about the Romulans in the series when we actually see them. I would assume that we would see Romulans, but maybe we won't. If they are exposed as Romulans eventually though, there would have to be some discussion of their appearance. I'm hoping that they don't have ridges myself, I just didn't like them at all.
It's going to be a very hard road to get Enterprise to match up with Trek lore as it stands now, but I hope they find a way (like the Klingon homeworld all of a sudden being so freakin' close? I could go on a tangent about that and evidence that it just couldn't be, but I won't). I really liked this cast, and it was unfortunate they were saddled with such horrible plots, etc.

Yeah, I must agree. Even if you look at Enterprise as a different Timeline, their are so many holes in the story that even the show doesn't stay consistant with itself. The Klingon homeworld is a VERY good example here.
Also, I would like to point out to you guys that this might not be a Romulan Civil war. If you guys remember, ever since the first season that the Vulcans act a little different then what we are use to in Gene Star Trek. And we know for a fact from the show that most Vulcans do not tolorate other vulcans used telepethy or practicing it. Maybe Coto is trying to explain why their is a change compared to Gene Star Trek. Like I said, it doesn't nessessarly indicate they are going to do a Romulan war.
