Revenge of the Sith
The name was just announced at San Diego Comic Con, according to Aint-It-Cool-News.

-
He really needs to come up with better names.
-
Not really he could name it.. " Star Wars Three how to slow cook cabbage"
And the fans would still flock to it in droves. ;D
-
I like it. Nice with the title of the last movie of the second trilogy..
As long as there's little Jar-Jar and no Ewoks, I'm happy. :-)

Ewoks would be fine, they got slaughtered last time. I hear there are a lot of wookies this time around. I hope they don't go to Kasshyk. (Wookie homeworld).
Anyways, its been said that "a major EU character" (extended universe, the books) will get serious screen time. I wonder who it is?
-
The title is symmetrical and fitting. It also makes the Return of the Jedi, (the original name was supposed to be 'Revenge of the Jedi') more fitting.
-
They do go to Kashykk, they were fiming UK locations as backdrops for Kashykk.
I'm sure I know who the EU character is, if I remember, I won't post it anyway, wouldn't want to spoil the movie for anyone.... I'm mean, George Lucas has done enough already by stating that Jar Jar doesn't die.....

Hehe..I went to the same high school as George Lucas (albeit a few years later). All men from Modesto are mean.

"Revenge of the Sith"
meh
Ive heard worse, but Ive heard better, too... :-\
-
How about this as a title:
Star Wars 3: We Already Know The Ending...
-
I woulda gone with Fall of the Jedi.

That'd be my personal favourite, after Durins 'The Rotting of the Cabbages' ;D

Looking foward to the flick reguardless. Title works well, given the title of episode six.
It'll be fun seeing what finally pushes Anakin over the edge to Vader.
My guess is, it's the death of Padme at the hands of Dookoo.
We'll all find out in May. 2005.
Till then, "May the Force be with you." :brickwall:
-
The title is perfect, and ties in very nicely with all the titles of the original trilogy (eps 4, 5, & 6).
Can't wait for Jan. 1 to reqeust the release weekend off...
-
After getting about 100 pages into "Destiny's Way" of the New Jedi Order, I can say with some degree of confidence that Vergere is probably said character.
I could always be wrong.
Anyone care to confirm/deny this?

One of the very old, original novels states that Anakin was doing something rather bad and Obi-Wan ended up fighting him. At the end of the fight Anakin fell/was thrown into a lava field, I think, and, as you can imagine, his body was rather damaged. At that moment Palpatine got there to rescue him and since that day he was with the dark side.
As I said, that was in an early novel and I wonder if that is how it is going to happen.

Episode III-The Return of the Cash Cow.

No, it's not her, she joined up with the Yuuzhun Vong prior to SWII. (There is a book where you can read all about it, I forget the name).
-
Destiny's way does give us good background on Vergere, but she's gone by the time of SW3. Now, maybe one of the Caamasi...Elegos?
I'd say Mon Mothma, but she was in the Return of the Jedi. We SHOULD be seeing her though, since she was a Senate leader around this time. We've already seen Bail Organa.

I've heard worse too... "Attack of the Clones" is still ringing in my ears...

Damn, one of my favorite charcters too.

Star Wars is dead to me. Fool me once, shame on you and so forth. No sale here.
-
Have you played Knights of the Old Republic? Its too much fun.
-
I did and I enjoyed it, despite it being fairly light for an RPG. However, the difference is that George Lucas wasn't anywhere near it when they did it. Also, given the radical differences in setting, it was almost like KOTOR was a non-Star Wars Star Wars game. Both trilogies of Star Wars are ruined thanks to GL. I don't care to touch either of them with a ten foot pole.
As an aside, as much as I liked KOTOR, the sequel smells like it could easily become the next Deus Ex 2.

How do you figure? Some of the best producers in RPG history are working on it. People from Obsidian (duh), Black Isle and Bioware (I think) are all there.
-
Since Bioware isn't involved in the KOTOR sequel,I don't expect much from it myself.
Kinda strange to not have the RPG masters doing the sequel.
-
Chris Avellone's lead designer on KOTOR2.
They'll need to put a bullet in me to keep me away from that game.

Bioware is not involved, nor is Black Isle, since it is closed. The problem with KOTOR 2 is it has to live up to the original and so far, from the previews I've seen, there isn't much there that's new. It looks more like an expansion pack than a sequel. And in the fanatical hype and this has "disappointment" written all over it.
-
Bioware is busy working on Dragon Age and Jade Empire, but they recomended Obsidian and they seem to have some seriously talented and experienced people working on the game. I am looking foward to it, to say the least, as well as Republic Commando, which shows some promise.
Though, more to the point of the topic of this thread, Revenge of the Sith is fine. It works, in my opinion.
-
Don't forget Star Wars Battlefield. I hope its more like Joint Operations and less like BF1942.
Anyways,
I knew I was wrong with one of those companies. Why do I keep thinking Bioware is involved?
However I know for a FACT that people from Black Isle are employed by Obsidian. I wasn't implying that Black Isle was working as a group on it. (though I can dream right?)
