Title: Apartment Questions
Post by: Khalee on July 28, 2004, 09:51:26 pm
As I'm moving forward in getting out of the house I am wondering is it cheaper in the long run to get a allready furnished apartment, or unfurnished one.

If you have some Furniture, I'd go with the Unfurnishd. Even If you Don't It's still cheaper, Because when you get back on your feet, You'll have bought a few things That you can take with you RE: Furniture.

With a Furnished place, Your paying them for the use of there Furniture, and Don't get to take It with you.

Hoi Khalee,

I have found that no matter how few household items I have I can make an unfurnished apt work. Furnished apts have never really seemed worth it; poor quality stuff, ugly, or pay too much when it is nice. If however you expect to be moving often and have no car/truck, it could be worth while so long as you are willing to gamble that the furiture doesn't have a troubled past.

Good luck

You're better off with an unfurnished Apt.  In the long run you save money since you're not paying for the use of other peoples stuff.

Furnished is fine if you want your place to look like a hotel room, or based on the taste of the rentors, which means a motel room that has hourly rates.
