In principle I'd say yes, but alot depends on what commandos are used.  I remember a Gorn commando frieghter with 10 transporters and 2 f torps and a white front shield.

So I'm not voting till I see which ships are included here.  But my tendency is to say yes, in general with reservations.

EDIT:

Just reconsidered since all commando ships are not equal and they would take up space in shipyards, have to say no, but wouldn't mind seeing some of then included for the plasma chuckers to help then hexflip better, just not that Gorn Commando freighter.

Dude, let it go.  The thing showed up for one campaign two years ago, and it was BUGGED.  The movement cost was wrong (way too low) which let it be nimble enough to capture ships, when it should have been a slow boat fit only for landing troops on a planet.

The incorrect move cost was a typo on my part, made when I collated the seperate entries into the final submission.  I pointed this out several times during the campaign, but the bug never got fixed.

yeah, admins should take the time to trim the crap out of the shipslist.   The Letter "R" is your friend.
