Title: Direct X 9c
Post by: Reyam on August 24, 2004, 02:11:04 pm
I Have been having problems turning hexes . Ran several missions on a blue space and the hexes are not reducing in value.  I suspect that I had a problem and think it is the direct x 9c I'm running that is causing it. Any help for anyone is welcomed.
Thanks
Reyam ???

maybe I lost my mind, but It seems to be running ok now. Yesterday I ran co op with another ,they drafted, they got points and I didn't. I draft I got points and they did to. There were some missions I got deduction in the hex. I look for another player from the other side working the hex and did not notice one the hex value stayed the same. Maybe its a false alarm! I guess I'll check my medication ! Nonetheless are there any known issues with Direct x 9c?  :-[ ::)

Actually, a few of us on the Alliance side have had the occational mission that didn't seem to shift the DV. We were discussing it last night, but since it is so infrequent no one has ever noticed which mission it was. If you happen to remember the name of the mission you took, we might be able to isolate it and pull it.

yeah, I have pulled a few that were turkeys and I thought I had caught everything in testing.  These missions were all in very active hexes so DV shift counteract each other.

Thanks for your replies. You Guys do take care of those who just play for the fn of it. There are many involved with OP that we should be grateful for! 8)

Very tough to evaluate DV shifts on a busy live server for missions testing without looking at the battles records in the db. I would only trust DV shifts observed in inactive areas (news) or during periods of low activity while on the server. (...really, I'm not admitting to running bunches of missions over people... ;))

When you run a misison is an empty hex with a clean DB and the DV don't move, it gets pulled.

My reputation for dropping out of drafts is notorious, but in the last couple days of the GW3 server, I upgraded to Direct X 9c, and my ability to stick in a draft increased from about 33% to 90%!
