Hello I got some new images, hopefully they will show on Geocities. Currently I am seeing what I can do with WZ ships. I have done a 1979 texture bash to the Enterprise and used some of his work to make what is the Khambatta. Hope you like what I have for now. Decker Out.

what is that secondary hull mesh addition? And the curious glow underneath it?
-
I think it looks great!
-
Man... It's been almost three years since the first concept sketches of your ships you've shown me through ICQ. The newer design doesen't look too bad at all. As for the more ST: TMP-esque Enterprise, it looks great as well.
As for the "blue thingy" under the main shuttlebay, it looks like its influnced by the secondary hull of the Excelsior-class, which at that area some speculated it was a shuttlebay or maybe a docking port or something... By the way the Khambatta's secondary hull looks, I say a similar feature rests in this unofficial Constitution-class refit.
My only gripe, albeit a minor one, is the lighting on the Khambatta's ventral primary hull (lower saucer) being unrealistic, as it has no light source from the points the lights are coming from. Agreed, the lights are unrealistic to begin with considering how the Constitution-class refit was truely lit up in the first place, but at least there should be some light source for those four big lights that illuminate the ventral side of the primary hull.
-
Those are awesome!
-
The Khambatta is actually a modified WZ Bellicose. I recognize all of the features.
-
A like how the blue lights around the deflector are angled, and where the impulse engines are.
-
Holy Kookamunga!
Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want (breathes deeply) Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want Want...

I doubt they haven't made advances in light bulbs in the 23rd century, maybe to the point where tiny dots can produce large areas of illumination on a starship by some wondrous means of treknobabble. Or some hidden focussed lighting system inside the lower sensor dome that casts light on just that area, or any other kind of fancy futuristic explanation a person can think up. Not everything on a ship has to be totally realistic, especially considering that our idea of real doesn't take into account 300 years of development.
I also never said the blue area on the Bellicose was the same as the one on the Excelsior - they just both have a similar appearance. I intentionally leave some parts of a model undefined so people can come up with their own ideas to explain/expand them. Besides, it just looks cool to have some fancy blue light back there to liven up the ship's 'ooo, ahhh' factor a bit.
Nice work on the retextures, WD. I noticed the hull registries are improved (I forgot to fix that on my last release), namely the red outline. Incidentally, I should point out that the lower hull details (the circle and boxes behind the phasers) weren't added to the Enterprise until the E-A. The TMP version only had the phaser banks while the rest of it was blank. They obviously added the details to spruce up that part of the ship and slip in a reference to the TOS version. Most just assume it was always like that since they hardly ever show that part of the ship. There was a blank and E-A version included in my last release of the Connie, along with a few other minor adjustments. Of course, my site's offline so the point is kinda moot.

Lmao WZ at the technobabble lighting...
Can you say Halogens? Itty teeny tiny little bittie bulb. Big bright intense hela-cool Illumination. Course the lighting would need to be brighter near the source in that case.
-
Opps...almost forgot.
As always Mr Decker your work is a pleasure to look at.
-
Woah...
Very cool job on that second Connie Variant WD!!!
I like how it would seem to fit in post TMP towards TNG...Hell it could be that very ship in the BOBW ep...
as one of the ships at Wolf 359...very cool :)
I like a good variant...not the same old stuff all the time...As much as I like a Refit Connie...get bored of them because
there are so many versions of the same ship...at least with a variant it gives a great sense of flavor and evolution to a
great design...History if you will
As always WD your work is amazing to look at
And please keep those variants comming...not just retextures...but full-fledged variants... MK1, 2, 3 etc.
Ever consider to do this ship's Dark twin as in ISS Enterprise or Connie??
-
Will Decker, may I ask how did you get rid of the neck above the saucer of the Bellicose without having a big hole in the mesh? have you blocked it up somehow? The TMP version looks fantastic as usual, I've done one myself but I've never been able to get the hull to have that pearlescent look like on yours and the filming miniature.
-
I patched up the Saucer so the hole from the neck would be invisible. But I am glad that you like what I have been doing here more to come soon
-
Hey Will Decker! It's great to be hearing from you again! As usual, you bring a tear of happiness to my eye.
Your BIGGEST fan,
Kaenyne
-
;D The Connie variant is nice BUT what are the adversary ships like? Is V'ger going to be included?
KF
-
V'ger still is in the works. This puppy is a hard one to make and texture.
-
I don't remember if I have the one you gave me years ago, if I saved it on a CD or what not... but I remember years ago you working on that... She's very very big and whenever fired upon it fired outward away from the ship to its shields. I wonder how she'll be handled this time though... *shrug*
-
Modelling skills have improved some since then and I think that this new version is closer than any version. Will have a pic soon

Maybe not sie advancements but I bet they use very low wattage (if they even still use watts as a mensurement) and probably not wasted engergy as heat either. Think about the current screw in floressence. I mean, do you think a filliment powered bulb would survive a single enterprise mission? lol Besides, how many redshirts would you waste on changing the hull lights ;D
