Here's a quick list of "wierd" bugs I've found on my and on other servers. Usually, these are really weird things that happen when you try to do something with the game that the designers didn't really see coming.
1) Leaky Shields Bug: If your ship has no shields, you can beam through the shields of other ships.
2) Stupid Transporter Bug: If you ship has no transporters, you cannot launch shuttles or fighters on the D2. This bug does not apply in skirmish mode, or to launched units launching other units.
3) Useless Phaser bug If your phaser battery consists of only a singla phaser 1 (or -- I suspect -- a single phaser 2) then you will often be unable to fire it after it charges. This bug is intermittent, and can suddenly happen in the middle of a battle.
4) Bolted Plasma bug: If you spell PlasF instead of PlaF on fighters, they will start firing proxy photons almost as soon as you launch them.
5) Broken Shuttle Bug: If you give your ship more starting shuttles than maximum shuttles, the ship will start missions in a crippled status. You will not be able to repair the "damaged" ship in the shipyard.
6)Big Missile Bug: If you give fighter missiles to your ships, they will be replaced with type I missiles on the D2. (the racks will still hold only as many missiles as a fighter missile bay should.) This bug does not appear in skirmish mode unless you use the resupply screen to change out your missile load.
7) DroD bug: DroD operates properly in Early era. (which, sadly, is now hard-coded to last only one year.) However, in mid era they act as enveloping PlasD, and in late and advanced era they skip shields altogether.
8.) Cannon Fodder Bug: If you put the ship type FTR for the ship of a figher race, then the ship will appear with no shields in the D2. It will often appear as more than one model. AMD will fire upon it. A single phaser blast is usually enough to kill it.
Eight is Enough! I'll post more later if I find/remember them.

Does the misspelled Plasma F on fighters do proxie photon damage or something else? Could be an easter egg??

Ooohhhh! Capital thinking. I actually didn't test this, but I suspect they really were doing proxy photon torp damage. They were scoring hits from over range 30, and there is no plasma bolt ever made that can hit that far out. Still, it bears testing. Just out of curiosity.

What happens when u put a PlasF on a ship?
You mean a fighter?
Lots of death... never put more then 1 torp per fighter or unless you like a buttload of plasma coming at ya.
Ask Sears.

No, he means what happens on a ship if you spell PlaF as PlasF. Does the same thing happen as on a fighter? I don't know, but it won't take much to find out.
