Was messin' around a bit the other night ..  came up with these sketches ( I had to call it something ) :

I know it's a little different... and the nacelles are more pronounced than normal..  (as opposed to the totally intergrated design) ..  but over all the hull is slightly larger and perhaps sleeker with larger impulse engines to keep it as maneuverable as it's smaller counterpart.

I think  it's  a little too thin,  but aside from  that it rocks. Ofocurse it could just be how the drawing turned out .

Believe me when I tell you .  I knew I was rusty ...   but, form the way I'm struggling right now..  it appears I've all but lost the ability to do this sort of thing anymore.  OY !!  This is what happens when stop using a talent you once had.  It's comming back .  but ever so slowly.  Kinda frustrating too !!

I would be honored !!  I'm still sorting out the front and side views..   can ya give me 'til tonight to do a couple more rough drafts ??  I have spotted a couple of bad rookie oversights !!

Hey thats pretty cool. It really shaped up from the sketch.

I think it may need a limo stretch in the forward part later on tho. :P Just a nit pick. Overall, unique enough a take on the defiant...

thought I've thought about this the last couple of hours..  and I think instead of pitching the outside edges of the nacelles "upward" ...  I think they would be better off parallell with the rest of the hull...


I should be able to finalize that tonight  !!

J/K ...   sure ..  go for it...  I needs a masters touch .. That would definitely help me see my short comings better.

BTW...  I really do think it would be better NOT to pitch the nacelles upward ..  but more horizontal with the rest of the hull..

Don't you think so?

Actually I like ALL of the suggestions...  Tie ... look into the plausibility of your suggestion.  If ya need to check with RB ..  it's pretty darn good at that sort of thing.  If Models Please were here I'd suggest his expertise as well..  ( ** sigh **  kinda miss having him around  ..  ya know !!)

My only request is to let me take one more crack at this by late tonight (grand daughter is coming over ...  she will undoubtedly consume a bit time .... hehehe  !!)

I appreciate the thoughts..  comments ...  and support !!
