Crude oil closes at above 52 dollars a barrel!
I love it! These double digit gains percentagewise rock the house! The energy stocks are screaming for vengeance and are what kept the DOW going today! Just to be safe bro I would invest in companies like BP and GE and others that are developing alternative fuel technologies. Kudos to the Brits as BP not only is a major oil company, but they spend a LOT of money on R and D on alternatives such as hybrid tech, fuel cells, etc...
You keep pumping that oil my friend, Top Tankers is standing by to transport that oil with their ice breaking double hull tankers!
Bet those city folks that drive big trucks and SUVs when they do not really NEED it are hating life right now, hehehehehehehe. Never fear, the number one auto manufacturer in the WORLD, Toyota, is releasing the hybrid Highlander that gets 600 miles per tank and is 270 H.P. off a 6 cylinder! That's Tundra 8 cylinder power territory, and the Tundra is a gas guzzler!
I feel sorry for the folks in Cali though, they have ALWAYS paid the highest prices for gas and now it looks like there is no relief in sight to the rise in oil prices in the near future.

BTW Cali folks, premium gas in Chihuahua City is now about $2.80 cents a gallon! Wonder what the impact of higher oil prices will be in America? Unlike America though, Mexico has no social security system or taxes from gasoline going into different Federal programs, it goes to the "elite" society of Mexico.

18 MPG and I feel fine.
I drive a Chevy 4x4 with a 327 V-8 and get 360 MPG on a tank. It's like Copenhagen or Marlboros, it don't matter how high the price gets, people will still pay for it happily.

And what are the Brit's paying...yes, they have the Imperial gallon (5 quarts)...but they pay a lot more, and they even drill for it themselves!!

82.7p per litre for 98RON and about 78.4p for 95RON.
But then even at its worst my car gets 38mpg. Got 56mpg out of it driving down to my friends last weekend.

Correct me if I'm wrong, taxes from Brit petrol allows them to have FREE medical care? It's worth it to me if it is true. Not only that, but Brit giant petrol companies like BP invest in startup fuel cell and hybrid technology and hydrogen startup companies, international ones, that provide JOBS for people. Pretty darn smart management if you ask me, they win either way not only for themselves but for their investors as well, AND they are looking out for the interest of the British auto buyers, in other words, most of their population. :)
Germans are doing the same, as well as the Japanese. :)
