Title: Does anyone have UI chart sets from Heaven's Eagle?

Post by: Dawntreader on October 22, 2004, 06:41:10 pm: Does that perl script thing get rid of the question marks from the shiptype thing. I added an advanced drone cruiser (my own idea) but it only shows F-XCD - ???. the name script works OK, and all the weapons work properly.

Thanks for checking that out and saving me from looking stupid(er). Unfortunatly I have a very slow and weak connect, and sometimes it cuts short the download without disconnecting from my service provider.

Post by: Lord Schtupp on October 22, 2004, 11:02:42 pm: Yup, but it's more due to the fact that my phone lines are really weak and staticy. Cable modem isnt availlable, and neither is satillite because of dense forest. I live less than 10 miles from Yosemite National Park.

However, in the shipedit manual pdf there isnt the grapical UI displays (I should have been more accurate in what I needed I suppose). I can get the information I need from shipedit, but what I would like to have are just the display graphics that show the actual UI that is displayed in the game as they are easier to browse thru that way. Heavens Eagle sent me a zip file long ago that had all of the feds in it, they where individual GIF files. Can anybody email me the other races in this format? Does anybody have Heavens Eagles current email address?

Post by: Lord Schtupp on October 23, 2004, 09:56:40 pm: Bernard Guinard sent me the latest PDF for shipedit. It does have the UIs for EAW but not OP. There isnt any X-Ships nor does it describe the advanced weapons found in OP.

I had installled the second part in a different location so the OP shipedit was runniing the EAW dat files. Now I can SEE the Xships UIs. Yay. :P

Post by: Rogue on October 24, 2004, 07:41:18 am: Also, when you launch ShipEdit OP it doesn't display the UI for the FBB. It is possible to fix that by some deduction. You have to copy and rename the correct EAW bit back into the mix. Either that or PM me and I'll send you what I have.

This also means you can get quite a number of things to show up in ShipEdit when you edit the right things. Things like hard points fro PF's if you like. I've intended to do so but never got around to it.
