Since you aren;t going to be able to come down here for it, someone in the DC area is gonna have to coordinate things. Any idea who? Paul? Will? Walter? <shudder>.
Anyhow, I figure DocPysco, Agave and I will be up the Friday night before the wedding. Might want to see who else can make it out Friday? or is the night before the wedding better?
Anyhow keep me and the rest of us posted.

Hmmm..... well, I'm not invovled in any planning. Lots of the wedding party will be driving up on Friday, however, so I suspect Saturday night might be better. Depends upon how you guys feel. You might want to contact Will sice he's a bit more local. Surely his clients know where all the sleazy spots are.
My only restriction is that Dr. Nyet has threatened to kill me if I show up on Sunday either asleep or badly hung over. But the wedding isn't until 3:30 on Sunday so I should be fine by then. I mean, really, how bad could a night out with you guys be? <cue ironic music>
By the way, you might want to get that hotel reservation made. I think the price break for being in my wedding ends today. If you've already booked, let me know so I can be sure you get the price break. Our records show only myself (it's so lonely being an exile), my brother, and a few people from her side having reservations under our wedding block.

I've heard of one case by a coworker...
Groom loaded up into an unconcious stupor, boarded onto an overnight plane from Toronto (CA) to Hawaii (US) with no ID and no cash except for 1 quarter for the payphone.
Guy cannot pass the airport customs, and has to call fiance on wedding day to have money wired over for the return trip in time for the ceremony. Apparently her mood was not on the positive side.

I already know the attire for the party is either plastic, leather, or spandex. But what is the attire for the wedding?

13th of Nov? Hmmm....I think I need to schedule a business trip. Just make sure you get the extra large cake for me to jump out of, and Scipio be sure to get that lap reinforced.

J'inn ask Scippy for our friend Ujin's number as well, he lives in DC and might have some ideas about good spots, I'm sure Walter might as well.
I know little more than you do about DC.
Georgetown has some good Bars, that area in Baltimore looked preety cool as well.
One thing I do remember is DC strip Clubs tend to suck, so check out Maryland area if this is to be in the plan, I know all the good ones From Charlotte south to Miami, but not a clue up that way. Of course if Kroma makes it we got the lap dances for Scippy covered..... ;D (BTW make sure to bring a camera for that)
We could always take him to "Bound" if the morality police haven't shut them down yet..... ;)

But then we might not get him out of the handcuffs and leash until after the actual wedding, I'm sure Dr. Nyet would be upset at this as she has her own ones to apply during the ceremony.
Seriously, I might suggest starting simply with either a nice Irish Pub or a place with some Jazz or Blues, that would likely be conductive to conversation and is the type of place Scippy would enjoy. After that we can go elsewhere depending on our mood, and keeping in mind Maverick wont make it (crosses fingers ;D) so 21 and older places shouldn't be a problem.
Once we get an idea how many will be attending we can get an idea as far as transport. A Limo might work if the rates are reasonable, some of us are on a budget you know, or it might be a car/taxi affair, depending on if any of us can remain sober throughout the evening. I plan on handing my carkeys to the hotel frontdesk at check in with instructions not to return them until checkout....... ;)

BTW Scippy, reservations made for myself at the same hotel you are in.
I must admit it was rather nice of them to put the extra bed in your room..... ;)
Oh and I got the top bunk, after all the alcohol that will be comsumed you might have difficulty climbing up, I also had them instructed to make the lower one with water resistant sheets, just in case climbing down during the middle of the night proved too problematic for me...... ;)
