Dragon Age will be Bioware's own unique intellectual property.  As such they will be able to write the story, characters, world, etc any way they want and change it in any way they want without having to first seek approval from another company.  In addition, they will not have to pay royalties or licensing fees to said company for the rights to make a game using someone elses intellectual property.

From a game perspective, Dragon Age is shaping up to look pretty damn nice!  You can find what little info has been released about it here:  http://www.bioware.com/games/dragon_age/

Neverwinter Nights 2 is a continuation of the first game but is being developed by another studio.  Bioware preferred instead to work on their own projects and passed the development torch to Obsidian.  They are however still working with Obsidian in an advisory capacity only.

Obisidian is made up of former Black Isle Studio folk.  Refugees from the Interplay crash and burn.  BIS did Icewind Dale and had a hand in Baldur's Gate as well.  NWN2 is in good hands.

O my.

You can start saving for your AMD64, Nforce4 motherboard with SLI capabilty, 2 6800GT PCx cards, and a couple of gigs of DDR2. ;D

I noted that a publisher remains unsigned, heres hoping that they can do it all in house and deliver straight to the customer, for the most part.

AS a side note anybody out there play the premium modules onsale for NWN.

A friend of mine does, he says that there pretty good.  I don't want to buy them because they are single player only.

Belay my last...

5 - 8 hours of gameplay?

Haha...

I havent finished playing all the Hall of Fame mods yet.

What they should do is creat a persistant world and have each of these mods "plug" into each other in some way.

Hmm, I was thinking there was a post on this already, but I can't find it.

Has anyone here tried the new modules sold by Bioware yet?  What did they think of them?
