Ah, the joys of failure... This time however, the failure is caused by a device and not anything of my doing.... Imagine if you will a monitor screen that wishes to be in a "Hall of Mirrors", specifically a squished horizontally kind of mirror that makes life very difficult.... Well thats the view I am currently getting as I type this... Luckily for me it's not a proportional squeeze but more of a banded one...  ::) ::)

Yes friends, the entire contents of my desktop squashed into 4 alternating bands of normal and squished appearance, all crammed into something half the size it should be....  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Suffice to say, all my design and costruction work is on hold until I can get a new one, a tricky proposal since I have ZERO means of achieving it... I could say that this will teach me for not having a contingency plan but lets face facts here, how many of us have a spare backup monitor "just in case"?  Bah!!!

It's a pretty crap monitor I have/had... Came with the last PC but one... Will get a proper one when all said and done, any advice??

BTW F_W I am in England though probably the opposite end of it to you....  :D

Which end..?  I think FW's a Brum... (and I may be back down that neck of the woods early next year depending on whether the Inland Revenue are recruiting there again  :-\)

Well, I've now managed to borrow a iddy biddy 14" monitor from a mate of mine... So, ahead 1/4 impulse I think...  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

Now all I need is a job....   :( :( :( :(
