Sandman, between you me and stewiedude were getting the non-trek ships covered. Lots nmore variety and new challenges with non-trek. I am posting a screen showing how big this is compared to an Akira. I am not sure what size to make it but it looks good as big as a Borg cube :)
FedRebel, you got any idea what size to make this? Oh I have the ambient lighting at .4 (stock is .2) so this is much brighter than stock settings. Hope attachments iworks, adding atachments has been closing out my browser lately.

I think Stewiedude was hinting on that I could improve the hull textures after seeing my other WIP. SO I made new basic renders using the recolored hull texture from my Bounty hunter ship. This is without the glows, I'll readd them later. I think this looks better.
I also found a new side angle ref pic that showed that my 11 inner spindles were too short, do I rescaled them. That stretched the textures in that area so I have to do some remapping. What do you guys think of the new textures? I am trying to portray steel here. If you have any pointers don't hesitate to make em :) thats what wip is all about. Once its released I usually never get back to it.

Thanks guys. a quick Screenie with the new textures. I like these better. In game there too bright still so I fixed this pic with gamma correction.

One last attempt. This last one is closest to how I think the back view looked close up. I'll just sit on this for a bit cause now I can't decide lol.

Its done and available here. I opted not to use the textures in that last pic, anything with a pattern that tight gets all wavy in game as soon as you zoom out just a small amount.
