As mentioned in this thread (http://www.dynaverse.net/forum/index.php/topic,16346067.0.html).
I have the models, of course, but I'm posting on another forum and people want to give them a try - but I can't find a working link anymore.
Thoughts?

Why not mirror the post here so that we all can enjoy the ships when you get them posted?

*scratches head*
I seem to remember it being larger than 13mb?
In fact, I seem to remember it being on the order of 300mb.
EDIT: and that file is a corrupt .zip, anyway - doesn't work.

Someone on the Futuremark boards was asking about the best "Star Trek" game (http://discuss.futuremark.com/forum/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=gaminggeneral&Number=4838594&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=1), and I posted a bunch of screenshots I'd taken from SFC:OP with the P81 mod pack and some of my own work. They were sufficiently impressed with the screenshots, and wanted information on the mod pack.

I have the package included in the Orion Pirates Enhancement Pack v3.0
I can upload the package (contained in a new installer) independantly that is about 1/2 the size that everyone else has it.. the package originaly was 64.8 MB.. the repack that I did to correct Install and Uninstall errors (plus auto location of Orion Pirates instead of EAW) is only 38.3 MB..
I also have the Low Res package which is about 22 MB repacked.. Anyhow, just let me know if you want them and I'll stick them up on SFCx for ya...
-
I have both the Hi and Low res packs. I suppose I could make 6 differant zip files and email them to people that want them

OK I just rebuilt the installers for the D2 HR & LR Packs ... Now this was built specifically to install into the game and will error on installing to an empty directory... However what you can do to install to an empty dummy folder is..
Create a dummy folder you want to install to..inside it, make a Assets folder, then make a Models folder inside Assets.. then make the following folders inside Models folder
FBB
FBCH
FCA
FCL
FCV
FCX
FDD
FDN
FDX
FFA
FFF
KBB
KCA
KCL
KDD
KDN
KFF
PCA
PCL
PFF
RBB
RBC
RCA
RCL
RDD
RDE
RDK
RDN
RFR
RLN
XSD
you do not need to add anything inside of these folders..
now DL and launch the installer from the link below, point it to the main dummy folder you created (the one you created Assets in).. it will install and you will see copying files, the close button will be clickable when done.
now when you go inside to the Models Folder, you can delete the Backup folder, it will only have copies of the folders you just created and they will be empty.. so the Backup folder will be safe to just delete...
the rest of the folders will contain the models for the High Res or Low Res Model Pack (Depending on which you download).
Sorry for the steps, but it is how I had to build it to keep the file size down.. the installer was designed to make a backup of your original stock models, then delete them from the normal game folders then copy the D2 models into the Normal game folders.. uninstall will delete the models out of the normal folders then restore the backups to their proper location and then delete the Backup folder...
This was done to eliminate 30 MB off the installer size..
Anyhow I hope that it helps..
the Low Resolution pack is exactly the same as the high Res pack.. the only difference is the Low Res pack uses 256x256 textures and the High Res uses 512x512.. so it is your choice on which to get..
High Res D2 Model Pack by Atrahasis and P81 (38.3 mb)

Low Res D2 Model pack by Atrahasis and P81 (21.6 mb)
http://www.nightsoft.net/effhq/files/sfcd2_lr.exe
Hope that this helps...
