The Pirate Ftr, S-AM is limited to ONE squad per ship.

Sorry Pirates, this STOCK fighter was WAY too OTT to NOT do it. Hope you still love me, the other ftrs kick ass...

This wasnt in response to that fight. I saw 3x Ph2's + other armament on one ftr and that way OTT. It is true its stock, but had I known it was Ph2's not 3's...

As "RM" for the pirate forces (since they don't get a full-fledged one and I'm preety much the ISC RM right now...), am I supposed to raise a ruckus about this, being a declared and posted mid-server rules change that affects my team?  :police:

Thanks for taking the high road, Julin. I appreciate your level headedness.

Let me explain the fighter problem.

The Pirate S-AM is armed with:

3x Ph2 FH,   1x PhoF FH  1shot,   1x DroVI ALL  2shots.

If you have just 12 of them, here is what they would do to a ship at range 3.99 in one pass excluding drones:

36 Phaser 2's @ 3.5 Average damage at range 3.99 = 126
12 Photons @ 4 damage @ with 67% hit = 32

So that is 158 points at range 3.99 average damage with 12 fighters. Too uber. You dont want to know what they can do at range 1. And with 36 Ph2's you have an effective range of 15.99 doing average of 15-25 points of damage per turn.

Sounds like long-range capable Caveat IIIs... ;)

Though it takes 12 of them at range 3.99 to do what 4 Cavs do at range 0... :D

Change understood and accepted.  Balance, and fun, are more important than the fact that my 1 pirate carrier captain be able to cheese DieHard's BB to death...  :P

Hmm Perhaps we are being too hasty with this change.
