We get a script funtion to intiate a breakdown when a button is hit....
Dont ask me how to restrict this function to a stasis ship....that's a scripter problem...

And nail is still a bastage! ;D

But a ship takes damage from a breakdown and can still be targetted and damaged by weapons fire :P

You could script it to go to yellow alert and perform an emergency stop...

...and it reverts to 'allied' for a short period of time. Keeps it from getting fired on.

1- you can't tell something to break down in scripting. You can however to an immediate speed change to 0, with max speed of 0. You won't be able to stop it from turning however.
2- yellow alert is a good idea.
3- I think you can script the invulnerability.
4- There's also preventing the player FROM being targetted as well as being unable to target anything.

Ooop. Just noticed.
There is something about a 'listening post' that keeps it from getting fired on, as well. And the tag wont say "allied". IIRC, a ship in stasis couldnt fire or be fired upon.

How about cloaking for stasis? No target for seeking, at least and no firing from the affected ship of course.
