I have noticed something about some of the plasma firing arcs. I think in SFB it was called LP or RP. What it was was 60 deg left of the nose/120 deg right, or just the opposite. I remembered it as a 180 deg total arc. Is that correct? Because...
When I have flown some ships with this arc, I noticed that the forward portion of the arc (the 60 deg portion, mentioned above), only fires about 30 deg, not the whole 60. So if thats not clear enough...
I noticed a RP arc (shown on the system display as 60 deg left, 120 deg right) that only allows firing 30 deg left, 120 deg right (total 150 deg of travel). The most recent culprit is the Romulan D5 refit that is the starting ship on DH's New Cruiser Hell.
Questions:
1. Am I seeing this correctly?
2. Is this modeled correctly?
TIA

The ships with LP/RP are usually refitted with "swivel mounts". Those that don't have them yet will be reduced to FLL/FRR arcs.

FLL/FRR.. are those the reduced 150 deg arcs that I observed?

LP and RP should both be 180 deg, just like LS and RS only canted 30 degrees forward.
LP goes from 330 to 150
RP goes from 030 to 210

LP goes from 330 to 150
That's the *other* left... :p

Er, yeah.
