Title: Map Question
Post by: KAT J'inn on February 28, 2005, 10:56:48 am
I'd like to draft my maps by hand from now on.   Especially for F&E due to the complexity.  However, I can't find Hex Graph paper any where.

Any ideas on where I could find it?

What I could do for you is draft up a hex sheet on autocad, so it will be accurate, and send you the dwg file all you will need is a programme called voloviewer (which is a free download) or dwg to jpeg/gif comverter and you can print as many as you need (will A3 be ok?).

It used to be available in pads, with tear-off sheets.  Try calling Game Parlor (Just across the border from you) and see if they have it there anymore.  It will be a few days before I could get there to check.

On the other hand....

I have hex maps of the F&E map from the F&E game.  I could send you one of those if you'd like.

Thanks Sochin,  but if Scippy knows of a place where I can just run out and buy it, that seems easier for all.

A4 is the European standard for 8-1/2 by 11. It is slightly longer and slightly narrower.

That's because those darn europeans actually use the metric system and we don't.  :)

+1 for American obstinancy

WHAT THE HELL IS A4 paper???

http://painting.about.com/library/glossary/bldefpapersizes.htm

A3 would be the equivalent to 11x17" Tabloid, whereas A4 the equivalent to 8.5x11" Letter.

The don't seem to have a 8.5x14" Legal format tho...
