Chieftain Main Battle Tank Military Vehicle
Vehicle Description

This is a military Chiefton Main Battle Tank Mark 5 and my guess it is around a 60's-80's tank..  This one currently does not run.  It did run back in about 2000.  We had it running and took it across the field.  One of the sides of the track stopped working and the engine shut off.  The tank did sit outside for about 2 years.  This tank is in ok shape. There is not alot of rust on the outside.  The engine does run on eather.  We think that the lines are clogged up or the fuel pump it out.  We really dont know what is wrong with it.  It may be simple and it may get pretty involved.  Before bidding make sure you have a way to get it.  Buyer is responsible for shipping!!!  If there are any questions before bidding email me or call me at 636-699-2357.  Scott

Sure, you are going 45 mph, and the speed limit is 55, but no one is going to cut you off or even pass you because that's EXACTLY what you want them to do!

***Vroooom!***
****screech!****

****CRUNCH*****
(sound of little bits of glass falling on the ground and then footsteps)

Tank driver (in cool uniform and British Desert goggles) pauses, then looks down at the side of tank to see if there are bits of SUV stuck in the treads..................

A highly agitated young man in a suit runs up to your tank.

"Hey, you stupid bastard, ran over my BMW!!!" (panting)

"Did I?"

"Yes!"

"Sorry."

tank drives on......

Meh, to heck with a tank, let me get a Harrier. I work on an Air Force base, I could figure out a way to keep it refueled. ;D

Bah!

The tank doesn't run, and the Hummer is so commonplace. Heck, my neighbor has one...

You need this: http://www.detnews.com/2005/autosconsumer/0502/16/F01-91166.htm

and for only $225,000...

For a base price of $225,000 -- nearly twice the Hummer H1 wagon's base price of $117,508 -- consumers can get a basic version of the 10-foot-tall Bad Boy that can drive through five feet of water, climb a 60-degree grade, tow six tons and keep rolling even with a quarter-sized hole in the tire's sidewall.

The price goes up from there, depending on options. Drivers can get infrared cameras that peer through darkness. The flat-nosed cab can be bulletproof, and house a mini-safe behind three leather seats. The dash can include a satellite phone, a two-way radio and a global-positioning system -- all alongside DVD, MP3 and CD players and a flip-out LCD screen.

For $750,000, buyers can get the fully loaded "NBC" version that can, Ayres said, detect and block out fallout from nuclear, biological and chemical weapons by over-pressurizing the cab with filtered, clean air much like an aircraft.
